MANIAC (1934) - DVD
One of the most bizarre movies of all time. A psychopath kills his nutty employer and assumes his idenity. The maniac then causes terror and depravity to all who get involved with him. Definately borrows from Edgar Allen Poe stories. A walling up scene, the maniac mutilating a black cat and general insanity. Pretty strong stuff for 1934. Some of this stuff seems real and not fiction. An early film in Phyllis Diller's career. Here she plays a grungy call girl who wrestles with another woman. Includes a preview trailer. Not for kids.
